Eliminating errors right from the start
The success of any transaction processes depends foremost on the accuracy of the data entered. If your customer makes mistakes entering bank code and account number, this will increase the transaction costs.
Pago Account Check checks the bank details entered for plausibility.
Note: Pago Account Check applies only to German bank data!
![]() Bank code and account number German Bank identifier codes are allocated centrally. Changes in bank codes as well as new and discontinued bank codes are published by the authorities in the "Amtsblatt der Bundesbank". Pago has up-to-date access to the German bank code database.
Account numbers are generated using special generation processes. Most German banks use a non-public generation key offered by the German “Bundesbank”. However, a few banks in Germany use their own or modified generation keys, which in turn are deposited at the "Bundesbank".
