Pago was founded in 1999 as a subsidiary of Deutsche Bank and Beisheim Holding Schweiz. After nearly 10 years of successful market operations the shareholders agreed in October 2008 that Pago will withdraw from the payment market. The technical platform and infrastructure were transferred to the Deutsche Card Services, a 100% subsidiary of Deutsche Bank. Since then, Pago handles only existing contractual relationships.
